Welcome to Luddington & Garthorpe Primary School's website.

Our topic for the summer term is 'Space'.

"Bird Cam" is a success this year! Our nesting box is in use and we have a nest of baby birds to watch on the interactive whiteboard in the hall. So far there are 5 baby blue tits being fed regularly by their parents. All the children, and staff, are enjoying watching their comings and goings.

We are delighted to announce that we have been chosen as one of only 10 schools in North Lincolnshire to take part in the "Make £5 Blossom" initiative, supported by 'Rotherham Ready'. We are thrilled to have been given this opportunity ahead of many other schools. Our business partner for this is North Lincolnshire Homes.

Our cookery club has successfully applied to become an associate club of 'Let's Get Cooking'. This is great news as it brings funding to the club for new equipment, and also gives us access to lots of resources and recipes online. Healthy Eating is the focus for the club as well as teaching the children a wide range of basic cooking skills.

We are now subscribing to the highly popular 'Teachers2Parents' text messaging service. This will enable us to get all those crucial or last minute pieces of news and information delivered straight to your mobile phone. Parents must ensure that we always have the correct mobile number on record at school so that they don't miss anything.
